Our Expert Team
OSTEOPATHY, SHOCKWAVE THERAPY, LASER THERAPY AUCKLAND
The people behind Movement Mechanics Osteopathy, Shockwave Therapy and modern musculoskeletal rehabilitation in Browns Bay.
At Movement Mechanics, the team is intentionally small, specialised, and closely connected to the clinic's approach to care.
This page is not simply a list of practitioners. It is an introduction to the people patients meet when they arrive, looking for clearer answers, thoughtful treatment, and a more considered approach to pain, injury, and physical performance.
Each member of the team brings a different clinical perspective. Jonathan leads the clinic’s advanced shockwave, laser and osteopathic direction. Vincent brings a strong hands-on background in osteopathic and sporting fields. Brett supports the strength, conditioning and movement performance side of the clinic.
Together, the team helps bridge the space between treatment, rehabilitation and long-term physical capability.

Jonathan Hall
M.Ost, BAppSci (Human Biology), PGCertHSc (Acupuncture), GradDipHeal & FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine
🇨ðŸ‡EMS DolorClast® Key Opinion Leader
Jonathan Hall is the founder and Clinical Director of Movement Mechanics Osteopathy.
He established the clinic with the goal of creating a more modern musculoskeletal environment, one where osteopathy, rehabilitation, medical imaging pathways, Western Medical Acupuncture, EMS shockwave therapy, and high-power laser therapy could sit together under a single clear clinical direction.
Jonathan holds a Master of Osteopathy, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology, postgraduate qualifications in health science, and additional training in Western Medical Acupuncture and football medicine. He has also completed the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, reflecting his ongoing interest in sports medicine, injury rehabilitation and active populations.
Clinically, Jonathan works with a broad range of musculoskeletal presentations, but has a particular interest in tendon pain, overload injuries, sporting presentations, and cases that have not fully progressed with previous treatment. Many patients seek him out for Achilles tendinopathy, plantar heel pain, shoulder pain, neck and back pain, running-related injuries and more complex rehabilitation presentations.
Jonathan is also the New Zealand Key Opinion Leader for EMS DolorClast® technologies, providing education and onboarding support relating to EMS shockwave and laser systems in New Zealand.
His approach is detailed, direct and clinically deliberate. The aim is not simply to treat the painful area, but to understand what is driving the presentation and how best to move the patient toward longer-term improvement.

Vincent Reyland

Vincent is a skilled OCNZ-registered osteopath. He completed his Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Osteopathy at Unitec Institute of Technology in 2015, before working in Australia and returning to practice locally in 2018. He has a strong interest in sports performance, injury rehabilitation, and movement efficiency. Shaped by years of playing and following rugby and diamond sports. His post-graduate research with a Super Rugby franchise explored how dysfunctional movement patterns can contribute to injury, reinforcing his commitment to treating the root cause, not just the symptoms. What our patients have to say about Movement Mechanics Osteopathy & Shockwave Therapy
Trusted for our combined approach to care to improve your overall health. Our patients highly recommend our blend of Osteopathy, Shockwave Therapy, Acupuncture and tailored Strength and Conditioning.
A Small Team With A Shared Standard
Movement Mechanics is not built around a high-volume practitioner model.
The clinic is intentionally shaped around clinicians and support staff who understand that good musculoskeletal care requires time, communication and clear clinical reasoning.
Patients often arrive looking for more than treatment. They want to understand what is happening, why symptoms have not settled, what their options are and how to move forward without feeling rushed or dismissed.

That shared standard runs through the team.
From osteopathy and acupuncture to shockwave therapy, high-power laser therapy, rehabilitation, and strength-based progression, the emphasis is on providing care that feels considered, joined up, and appropriate to the person in front of us.
