Jonathan is a highly experienced OCNZ-registered Auckland-based osteopath. He has worked in various clinics across Auckland, including Recalibrated Osteopathic Care in Remuera, SoreBods Osteopathy in Point Chevalier and Osteoplus in Rosedale. Jonathan started Movement Mechanics in 2020, with the purpose of creating a clinic centred around evidence-based manual therapy, medical imaging for the treatment and management of acute musculoskeletal injuries and EMS DolorClast® Radial Shockwave Therapy and Western Medical Acupuncture for treating and managing chronic pain, acute and sub-acute musculoskeletal issues.

 

Jonathan also utilises VALD HumanTrak movement analysis to aid in injury prevention, rehabilitation, maintenance and performance, Jonathan aims to keep you from seeing your Osteopath for as long as possible and empower you to move better. He strongly advocates proper diagnosis and provides osteopathic treatment that works rather than a temporary fix. Brett joined Movement Mechanics in 2021 after completing his Sport and Exercise Science degree. He is passionate about both individual strength & conditioning and team-based sports.​

 

Strength & conditioning plays a huge role in what we do at Movement Mechanics: whether guided by movement assessment as part of injury prevention and prehabilitation or in collaboration with Osteopathy as part of rehabilitation.

 

We have found that many musculoskeletal disorders benefit from a combination of manual medicine and exercise prescription and have seen great reductions in symptoms, improved mobility and lasting treatment results when this approach is taken.
